Frequently asked
questions.

Everything you need to know about Azimuth Academy, our courses, and the certification process. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us.

What certifications does Azimuth Academy prepare for?
We offer preparation for 14+ credentials across four certifying bodies: FCC (GROL, GMDSS), ETA International (CETa, DAS, DASI, DAST, RFIM, GCT, MRT, PAB, RAD), Aerospace Technical Group (Tactical SATCOM Specialist, Certified SATCOM Specialist), and NCATT (Aircraft Electronics Technician).
How does the learning platform work?
All courses are delivered through our online learning portal at aerospacelearning.org. Once enrolled, you can access your course 24/7, self-paced. There are no live sessions required, though some instructors offer optional office hours.
Do I need any prior experience to enroll?
It depends on the course. Entry-level courses like the ETAI CETa have no prerequisites. Advanced courses like the ATG SATCOM or NCATT AET require a working background in electronics or avionics. Each course page lists its prerequisites clearly.
How do I take the actual certification exam?
The exams are administered by the respective certifying bodies — FCC, ETA International, ATG, or NCATT. Our courses prepare you for those exams. We also offer exam proctoring services for eligible certifications through our proctoring program.
How long does it take to complete a course?
It varies by course and your prior experience. Most students complete entry-level courses in 4–8 weeks studying part-time. Advanced programs like SATCOM or GMDSS typically take 6–12 weeks. You set your own pace.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes. We offer a 7-day refund on course purchases if you haven't completed more than 20% of the course content. Contact us at the email on the Contact page to request a refund.
Do you offer group or organizational pricing?
Yes. We work with organizations, military units, and employers to provide group enrollment at reduced rates. Visit our For Organizations page or contact us directly to discuss your needs.
Are the courses recognized by employers?
The certifications you earn through our courses are issued by the credentialing bodies (FCC, ETA, ATG, NCATT) — not by Azimuth Academy. These are industry-standard credentials recognized by employers across defense, maritime, aviation, and telecommunications.
What's the difference between the Tactical SATCOM Specialist and Certified SATCOM Specialist?
Both are ATG credentials. The Tactical SATCOM Specialist (TSS) focuses on terminal operations in field and tactical environments, commonly sought by military and defense contractors. The Certified SATCOM Specialist (CSS) is a broader professional certification covering commercial and government satellite systems.
How do I log in to my courses?
Access the learning portal at aerospacelearning.org or click 'Enter Portal' on any page of this site. If you need help with login or enrollment, visit the Contact page.
